ACEH – PKPU Human Initiative welcomed the visit of Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia, Monday (19/6) at an orphanage under the guidance of IHH Turkey in Cot Suruy village, Ingin Jaya district, Aceh Besar regency, Aceh province. Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Dr. M. K. Sander Gurbuz came with his wife Durhan Gurbuz and Ihsan Erapl Semerci as the diplomat of Turkish Embassy to Indonesia.
In his speech, Sanders said they were happy to visit Aceh. As people know that Aceh had a strong relationship with Turkey in the past. Aceh also has a special place in the heart of Turkish people. Tsunami in Aceh was also pain for Turkish people. He hoped the good relations can continue in the future. He also prayed that all children in the orphanage can reach their dreams and study in the higher level. Breaking the fast with the orphans in Cot Suruy is an amazing moment for him. Sander hoped relations between Aceh and Turkey will increase more.
In his speech, PKPU Human Initiative President Director, Agung Notowiguno welcomed the ambassador and entourage.
“Istanbul Dormitory is an orphanage established by PKPU after tsunami in 2004. PKPU cooperates with IHH Turkey to support the needs of the orphanage,” he explained.
Agung hoped the ambassador could give happiness to the orphans and high spirit to Indonesia.
In the end of the speech, Agung expressed thanks for the ambassador’s coming to Aceh and choosing PKPU HI as an institution which facilitates the embassy and orphans in Aceh. He hoped these good relations could bridge social bond in an effort to give the best service to all Indonesian people.
The event was opened by Ranup Lampuan welcome dance. It was followed by quran recital by an orphan which has memorized 5 juz (sections) of Al-Qur’an. Istanbul Dormitory is inhabited by 100 children from the elementary school to university level. All of them are girls. (Apriadi/Gie/PKPU_HI)by
